GROW MICROSYSTEM CONNECTIONS

Our needs evolve over time, and support may reach beyond one’s immediate circle. These resources are optional starting points for individuals seeking additional care, connection, or specialized support, particularly when it may be unclear where to begin. Microsystem resources often begin close to home and may include relationships and environments that offer consistency, care, and connection in everyday life.

This is a growing, community‑informed list, and we welcome you to share local or grassroots programs that have made a meaningful difference, offering ideas to further support others through their own life transitions.

Figure note. This Mental Health & Well‑being Ecological Model is grounded in Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory, which explains adult development and mental health as shaped by interactions among individual, relational, organizational, community, and societal contexts across the lifespan (Bronfenbrenner, 1979; Bronfenbrenner & Morris, 2006).
